Controversy Over Dodgers Jersey And Mexico’s President

The Latino fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers were stunned when they saw Los Angles Dodgers first baseman, Adrian Gonzalez, give Mexico’s dictator Enrique Peña Nieto a custom Dodgers Jersey. Gonzalez, who won Mexico’s 2014 National Sports Award was in the capital city to receive the award and meet the dictator of Mexico. I ask myself why did Gonzalez do this? With the controversy of Ayotzinapa and the massive protests not only in Mexico but also in the U.S. including Los Angeles, Adrian Gonzalez should have been aware of the situation. Also, were the Dodgers organization aware of the significance of this and the bad publicity it can bring especially with such a large Mexican fan base. This gift to Peña Nieto is so wrong in so many ways especially since Peña Nieto is part of the corruption. I hope the Dodgers organization apologies for this public relations blunder and demands the jersey back!
