Ariana Grande Groped During Aretha Franklin’s Funeral

Ariana Grande performed Aretha’s classic song, “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” one of a series of tributes by musicians to America’s “Queen of Soul” at her funeral attended by presidents, stars and music royalty.

After Ariana’s moving performance, she was congratulated by Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, who made a joke about Grande’s last name thinking she was a new item at Taco Bell. If that was not enough she then appeared to get groped by the bishop as he wrapped his arm around her with his hand high above her waist and his fingers pressing against her chest, que tal!

Social media went crazy after this and criticized the Bishop with #RespectAriana trending worldwide. Many people felt that Bishop Ellis’s hand was inappropriately high on the 25-year-old’s body as he spoke to her – saying that she looked uncomfortable with the contact.

But others criticized Ariana for what she was wearing to the church service, saying her dress was too short.

The Bishop apologized for his comments and for his unwanted advances. “It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast,” he told the Associated Press. “Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar.”

Ellis also apologized for a joke he made to Grande about her name: “When I saw Ariana Grande on the program, I thought that was a new something at Taco Bell. I personally and sincerely apologize to Ariana and to her fans and to the whole Hispanic community.”

I definitely feel the bishop had no business placing his hand on her in the first place let alone so high and tight touching her breast. He is lucky he did not get slapped!
