Ariana Grande Returns to Manchester

La cantante Ariana Grande returned to Manchester on Sunday to honer the lives lost there after her concert was hit by a suicide bomber.

This time around she brought some of her friends to perform. “I love you Manchester,” she yelled to the crowd. Grande wore a white sweatshirt with “One Love Manchester” written on it. One of the surprise performances was Justin Bieber who performed an acoustic version of his song “Love Yourself.”

More then 50,000 fans were in attendance at the benefit concert as singers, Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus, The Black Eye Peas, Justin Bieber, Pharrel Williams, Marcus Mumford of Mumford and sons and Ariana Grande performed.

One touching moment was when Ariana payed tribute to 15 year old fan Olivia Campbell who lost her life in the attack, as she recounted a conversation she had with Olivia’s mother. “She told me Olivia would have wanted to hear the hits,” Grande said, before launching into her popular song “Side to Side.”

Ariana Grande’s fans in the U.S. were able to watch the concert on the cable channel Freeform and Grande’s YouTube and Facebook pages. All proceeds from the event will go towards the “We Love Manchester Emergency Fund,” in partnership with the British Red Cross and Manchester City Council.
