Muppets Most Wanted Gives Danny Trejo His Hardest Challenge Yet

Danny Trejo is all things to all people. To adults, he is a ruthless killing machine, usually hell bent on some kind of bloody revenge. To children, Trejo is a gruff, but lovable old man who comes to the aid of amateur spies in their time of need. This weekend, when Muppets Most Wanted finally hits the big screen, everyone will see a side of Danny Trejo that has been 69 years in the making. That’s right, we’ll finally get to see Trejo singing and dancing along side another famous actor who grew up on the streets – Sesame Street, that is – Kermit The Frog.

Trejo told reporters that putting aside his tough guy persona to sing and dance in the movie is one of the hardest things he’s ever done. Danny, who has made a career out of murdering like no one is watching, found that dancing like no one was watching isn’t as easy as it sounds. At one point in the movie, the experienced actor had to prance to a tune from A Chorus Line, which is the last thing anyone, including Trejo, would expect to see from the guy who played Machete. One good thing about Trejo’s badass persona is that even if his dance moves were severely lacking in skill, no one in their right mind would tell him. Muppets Most Wanted hits theaters this Friday.
