‘El Chapo’s’ Transfered to a Less Secure Prison

featuredImg

“El Chapo” Guzman is on the move again! Fortunately he did not escape from prison but that may not be the case as Guzman was recently transferred from a maximum security prison in central Mexico to a less secure prison in Cuidad Juarez. ¿Qué pero cómo?, apparently Guzman is back in Sinaloa cartel territory where he has the infrastructure and the people who would gladly assist him in another escape. Some Mexican media have speculated the transfer to a Juarez prison would mean an extradition to the U.S. would follow, but authorities have denied that. Plus transferring him to a prison closer to the U.S. for extradition does not make sense since in the past when they have extradited people they just put them on a plane and fly them to the United States. Algo está mal y no me gusta para nada. Even though the Mexican government has said that the move was part of routine to rotate inmates for security reasons, huele a gato encerrado.
