Former Patriots Star Aaron Hernandez Commits Suicide In Prison

Twenty-seven year old ex-football star Aaron Hernandez hung himself in his Massachusetts prison cell today only a week after he was found not-guilty of a double homicide in 2012. Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. Hernandez was one of the brightest stars in professional football only a few years ago. Contracted by the Patriots, he had a bright career ahead of him. That is, of course, before he started murdering people. The subsequent trial became a media circus as the details of the murder and Hernandez’s deteriorating mental state leading up to the deaths.

Hernandez was found in his cell and was rushed to UMass Memorial HealthAlliance Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. You think he would be happy for being found not guilty last week, but I guess it doesn’t matter since he had a life sentence for a previous murder anyway. He must of felt like there was no other way out.
