Kickin’ It With Coco Crisp

Today is Opening Day of the 2011 MLB season. Are you as excited as we are? Sure you are! To commemorate the commencement of yet another season of «America’s pastime»– and all of Latin America’s pastime, for that matter– our boys over at Made Man sat down with Oakland Athletics’ outfielder Coco Crisp to talk about baseball, life, and the ladies. Below is some choice advice concerning the latter subject:

MM: What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten about women?
CC: Don’t profess anything. Everyone always jumps the gun with “I care for you” and “I love you.” Hold off as long as you can with that. It gives you a real advantage. That way there’s still that question mark. You’ve got to keep some mysteriousness to yourself and make her ask “Does he like me? Does he not?” That’ll make them do more for you instead of just jumping right out there with “You’re beautiful, I like you and I want to be with you.” After that it’s like, well, where do you go from there?
