Mark Wahlberg Asks Pope Francis Forgiveness For “Ted”

As anyone who has been conscious for the last week knows, Pope Francis has been on a whirlwind tour of the United States and Cuba. The popular pontiff rubbed elbows with a lot of celebrities and dignitaries while he was here and one of them was Marky Mark himself, Mark Wahlberg. Pope Francis probably was a fan of The Funky Bunch, so it makes sense. Wahlberg was one of the speakers at The World Meeting of Families which was presided over by the Pope. After hearing 14-year-old Bobby Hill sing, Wahlberg said ” he whispered in my ear that he loved the movie Ted. And I told him that was not appropriate for a boy of his age.”

Wahlberg went on to say,

“Holy Father, please forgive me. I’ve always hoped that the Good Lord has a sense of humor, when it comes and pertains to many of the movies that I’ve made.”

I think that Wahlberg asked forgiveness for the wrong movie. I mean, Ted was offensive, I guess. But he’s a friggin’ talking Teddy Bear. He technically can’t sin because he has no soul. So, the only people that Wahlberg offended were the people who paid money to see a teddy bear do dick jokes. No, if anything Wahlberg needs to ask forgiveness for is Entourage. That show is the epitome of d-baggery, which I’m pretty sure is a sin. What’s going to keep Wahlberg from the pearly gates is Turtle not Ted.
