Mexico Breastfeeding Campaign Is A Real Bust

We all know that sex sells. Unless you’re advertising to new mothers, then apparently sex is a great way to alienate the demographic you’re trying to reach. A recent pro-breast feeding campaign in Mexico has drawn anger for implying that new mothers should be in shape, borderline models, and if you do not breastfeed your child, you’re a real boob of a mother. The advertisement gained so much negative press for turning a blind eye to the many social and economic factors for why mother’s aren’t able to breastfeed that even the models involved withdrew their support for the campaign. As of today, operation breastfeed has been put on hold, but we will be sure to keep our readers abreast of any new developments.
