Mexico Sets Guinness World Record For Largest Parade Of Classic Cars

A total of 1,721 classic cars rolled through Paseo de la Reforma, Mexico City’s main boulevard, which broke a Guinness world record for the biggest parade of Classic cars. The previous record was set in 2002 in Zandvoort in The Netherlands with 948 vehicles. More then 250,000 spectators came out and viewed the cars along the 5.6 kilometer route. One think that Mexicans do well is take care of their cars and with great pride. After all buying a new car takes a lot of saving and sacrifice so it makes sense to see that Mexico has one of the largest classic car collections in the world. And like the great Maldita Vecindad would say, “La gente lo miraba pasar: “¿De quién es esa ranfla? ¡Cuántos recuerdos trae!”.
