Protesters Greet Mexican President In California

The Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto recently was in California to meet with lawmakers and the Governor of California, Jerry Brown. But not all lawmakers rolled out the welcome mat for Nieto. Several Republican lawmakers rejected the lunch invitation as a way to protest Mexico’s incarceration of Marin Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who has been held since April after crossing the border with weapons. There were also about 150 protesters who received Nieto as he arrived at the historic Stanford Mansion protesting the release of Tahmooressi.
