Puerto Rico Reports 1st Zika Death in US

The first Zika death in the U.S. has been reported in Puerto Rico. According to the health secretary Ana Rius, the victim was a 70-year-old man from the San Juan metro area. The man died less then 24 hours after seeking help.

Also there have been Nineteen people hospitalized and at least four are believed to have developed a temporary paralysis condition known as Guillain-Barre because of Zika. Other places in the caribbean are struggling with the Zika outbreak. In the island of Guadeloupe there have been 2,100 cases 89 of which are pregnant women.
