Scarface Returns To The Big Screen For 35th Anniversary


The epic gangster movie Scarface will be back in theaters for its 35th anniversary. The release date is set for June 10th and will only be in 200 theaters including such cities as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Dallas.

Last month De Palma and cast members Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Steven Bauer reunited at the Tribeca Film Festival to celebrate the 35th anniversary.

According to reports, moviegoers will get a chance to watch the post-screening conversation following Scarface‘s screenings.

Scarface was released in 1983 and was one of Oliver Stone’s early landmark screenplays. The epic movie went on to earn three Golden Globe nominations for best actor drama Pacino, supporting actor Bauer, and original score, as well as close to $45M at the domestic box office.

Scarface was a remake of the 1932 movie with the same title, and Universal is looking to remake it again with rumors that el actor Mexicano Diego Luna will play the role of Tony Montana.

Watching Scarface on the big screen is a must, if you are not one of the lucky ones to watch it on the big screen then you can always watch it at home.
