This Week On Being Latino: The Horrible Truth About Being Latino and The Horror Of Carlos Mencia

This week our good friends at Being Latino tackle some issues we Latinos may not want to look at. In an article by Ulises Silva, he discusses the downside of being Latino in the U.S. Basically, we are the nation’s current scapegoat. In the past it was the Irish, the Jews, African-Americans that were tearing our country apart in the eyes of racist white folk, and now it’s us. But he also brings up the fact that we have the highest drop out rate in the country, an issue that is certainly ours to fix. Good stuff.

And speaking of things that make it hard to be Latino, Michael Guillen discusses the abomination that is Carlos Mencia. Talk about something that brings shame on our people. This guy confirms and amplifies all the worst things that our opponents here in the U.S. think about us. Good comedy should be smart, not dee-dee-dee.
