Barcelona- AC Milan Tie In Their Champions League Opener

Last year’s Champions League winner Barcelona— and this year’s, too, because let’s face it, they’ve only gotten better since last season– faced off against Italian club A.C. Milan for their first match of the tournament. Despite dominating for much of the match, Barcelona conceded an early goal to Pato, who capped off a great run with a goal that went below the keeper’s leg. Then Messi did his thing and provided an assist to Pedro Rodriguez that tied things up at one a piece. It looked like the Catalan club was going to win it after a gorgeous free kick goal from David Villa, but Thiago Silva snatched the much-merited win from Barcelona.
