Juan Manuel “El Burrito” Martinez Scores A Maradona-Like Goal

While Juan Manuel “El Burrito” Martinez will likely not have the same legendary career that Diego Armando Maradona had, the Velez Sarsfield player can claim that he was Maradona-like at least for one play. “El Burrito” Martinez scored a fantastic goal in which he took on a bazillion Racing Club defenders (okay, it was six) before scoring the amazing goal. This amazing feat by the man they call “the donkey” reminded us of what many (and us, begrudgingly) consider to be the goal of the last century. We are, of course, talking about the goal Maradona scored in the 1986 World Cup held in Mexico. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the miracle on the pitch, you should be embarrassed and don’t deserve to be called a sports fan. But instead of berating you further, we’ll just go ahead and show you that goal below so you can compare and contrast:
