Copa Sudamericana Blowout: Vasco da Gama Scores Eight Against Aurora

Last night, in Copa Sudamericana play (for the uninformed amongst you, think Champions League for South America), Vasco da Gama of Brazil and Aurora of Bolivia combined for a whopping eleven goals. Unfortunately, those scores weren’t distributed equally. The Brazilian side moves on to the quarterfinals of the continental tournament after soundly defeating their Bolivian counterparts 8-3.

Haters tend to dismiss the beautiful game because of the low-scoring affairs. In this match, however, both teams combined to score more points than the Cleveland Browns and the Seattle Seahawks did in their awful, awful, awful week 7 matchup (nine total points combined, Cleveland won 6-3).
