Darren Ambrose’s Impressive Goal Helps Crystal Palace Defeat Manchester United In Carling Cup

Manchester United is going through a bit of a rough patch, at least compared to their performance last year. In 2010-2011, the Red Devils won the English Premier League, and was the runner-up in the EUFA Champions League (losing to Barcelona). This year, they are in second place in their local league, sitting five points behind cross-town rival Manchester City (35 points). They also were eliminated from the Carling Cup (often called the League Cup) yesterday by Crystal Palace F.C., 20th in England’s second-tier league “The Champsionship,” after losing 2-1 yesterday.

One of the heroes for Crystal palace was midfielder Darren Ambrose, who scored the first goal for his squad from an impressive 40 yards away. The goal, which came in the 65th minute, flew nicely into the top corner.
