Taj Gibson Posterizes Dwayne Wade

The Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat faced off last night for the first game of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. With players like MVP Derrick Rose, LeBron James, and Dwayne Wade on the court, there was no way this game wasn’t going to be explosive and fun. Interestingly enough, much of the on-the-court fireworks were provided by the Bulls bench, who played a major role in dismantling the South Beach team. Above is our favorite highlight of the night, courtesy of Taj Gibson, the Bulls’ second string power forward.

Early on in the second quarter, Taj Gibson– a player who has more than once served as a catalyst for what’s been a somewhat wavering postseason for Chicago– took a pass in the paint from C.J Watson (yet another bench player), and just elevated over Dwayne Wade. The Miami Heat player tried to stop Gibson by putting his hands on the power forward’s face, but Wade didn’t even have a chance. The end result was Gibson throwing it down and posterizing one of the league’s best players. This is the NBA playoffs, baby!
