“The King That Never Was”: The Worst Metal Video That Ever Was

We are a little old here at Tu Vez. I won’t tell you how old this author is, but it rhymes with schmerty schmour. So, we remember a mythical time called the 80’s and early 90’s, when MTV played music videos. A lot of these videos were of the heavy metal variety. Many a night was spent watching “Headbanger’s Ball” while pretending to do our homework. Metal videos are sometimes cool, occasionally scary, and often…well…silly. This video is of the latter variety.

This video is for a song called “The King that Never Was” by the “metal band” Alternate Reality. It tells the tale of King Arthur with the help of some truly cheesy graphics, fugly chicks, bad costumes, and terrible music. It’s as if the English lit society at your high school took a video camera with them on their annual trip to the Renaissance festival and decided to make a music video.
