Colombia Is The Top Latin American Team

Colombia easily beats Japan in the final game of Group C and enters the Round of 16 as the top Latin American team joining Netherlands with a perfect record. Japan started the game strong but with a penalty call, Juan Cuadrado kicked in the first goal and thus starting la goliza for Colombia. Japan dominated most of the first half of the game and in the 34th minute Shinji Ozakaki connected with a header and tied the game for Japan.

After the second half Colombia played as a completely different team hungry for the win thanks to the substitutions by James Rodríguez and Carlos Carbonero. At the 55th minute Jackson Martínez put Colombia back on top. In the end Martínez scored a second goal and James Rodríguez but the nail in the coffin giving Colombia the win 4 -1 over Japan.
