Nacional Fan Gets Jersey Tattoo

There are die-hard soccer fans and then there’s Felipe Alvarez, a 25-year old man from Medellin, Colombia who loves local club Atletico Nacional so much he decided to got a tattoo of their jersey on his torso. Alvarez also chose to pay tribute to slain Nacional legend Andres Escobar by getting his jersey number (2) permanently marked on his back. Escobar, who helped Nacional win the Copa Libertadores, was shot and killed at a club after he scored an own goal against the United States in the 1994 World Cup. His life and tragic demise was portrayed in the ESPN “30 For 30” documentary The Two Escobars, which you need to watch now if you haven’t seen it.
