Argentine Man Names Twins After Maradona

Because Argentines are clearly not stereotyped enough as cultish soccer fans, a Buenos Aires man decided to name his twin daughters “Mara” and “Dona” in honor of their national hero, the man who has a church dedicated to him, Diego Armando Maradona. Sports journalist Walter Rotundo– he’s very objective, we’re sure– decided to name his poor daughters after a man who’s known as much for his erratic behavior as he is for being one of the greatest of all time because he wanted to make soccer news.

Congratulations, Mara and Dona, you’re not even a year old and you’re already being exploited by your father.
