Goalie Scores Game-Winning Goal, Tears ACL Celebrating

Ain’t that some sh-t! Saulo, the backup goalkeeper for Brazilian club Sport Recife, scored the game winning goal over Vitoria very late in the match. After having accomplished a feat we rarely see in the sport (seriously, not since the days of Chilavert has there been a goalie who was also a scoring threat), Saulo started celebrating when all of a sudden, he fell to the ground. No, it wasn’t part of an elaborate celebration. The guy twisted his knee and tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). If you’ve ever had a torn ACL, you know that ain’t fun. Now Saulo will have surgery and be out of action for six months. Ouch!
